Local resident, Dawn Marie Pahoresky reopens bridal boutique after a 15 year hiatus. Dawn Marie has a passion for the bridal industry...now catering to the future brides-to-be in search of the perfect dress while assisting the new "Mrs." of Northeastern Ohio with their past bridal expenses. The new boutique is called Previously...Adorned

Most recently Dawn Marie saw her vision unfold as a bride-to-be stopped in, in search of her bridal gown, as a previous bride arrived looking to consign her never worn Maggie Sottero bridal gown. The bride-to-be feel in love with her gown...everyone was in tears ~ it was an amazing sight to see! In traditional boutiques you will not experience this kind of interaction between a past bride & future bride. Previously...Adorned also proudly donates gowns to Austin's Fairy Godmother, non-profit organization assisting young ladies who could not otherwise afford their special occasion gowns, as well as NICU Helping Hands, where donated bridal gowns are used to make beautiful outfits for premature babies.

There is truly nothing quite like it in Northeastern Ohio. Furthermore, she does not see herself in direct competition with other bridal shops; rather, she is filling a niche.

Her passion is driven by a desire to "give back" to others at a very special time in their lives. And where better to locate her business? The creatively named shop, is called Previously...Adorned. Specializing in the consignment of "designer" previously adorned bridal dresses

including accessories.

With an extensive bridal background, Dawn Marie in a sense, is helping two groups of clients by catering to the future brides-to-be in search of the perfect dress while also assisting the newly married women of Northeastern Ohio striving to recoup some of their bridal expenses.

Here comes the bridal shop: Bridal boutique takes new approach to wedding days Wedding can be a lot of work. That’s what inspired long-time bridal owner Dawn Marie Pahoresky to swap out her traditional bridal store for couture consignment shops. Ms. Pahoresky began working as a teen at Mary-Me Bridal in Richmond Heights. Upon the owner’s retirement, she purchased the business and renamed it Dawn Marie’s Bridal. It was a traditional bridal shop that catered to brides, bridal parties, moms and children, Ms. Pahoresky said. During the course of the next several years, she notices a change in the industry and its needs. “In my 30’s, I decided to switch gears, as I was watching a trend that (brides) were buying multiple dresses or looking to get rid of there dresses,” Ms. Pahoresky said. In the early 2000’s, she opened her second boutique, Previously Adorned, in Lyndhurst. In contract to her first boutique, Previously Adorned began reselling prior owned garments. It benefits both the past and new brides, she explained. “I love the word “adorn”, it one of my favorite words,” she told The Times. “It was a perfect fit for a couture consignment bridal and special occasion boutique.” Last May, Ms. Pahoresky opened her third shop, Previously Adorned and Adorned Events, in South Russel. Located at 5210 Chillicothe Road, the store offers services for several facets of wedding and other events. Ms. Pahoresky said that only about a dozen of the dresses in her shop have made it down the aisle. Most of them are brand new. “If they have been worn, they’re all cleaned with minimal alterations.” Previously Adorned and Adorned Events focuses on current trends and sells the most recent styles. Ms. Pahoresky said that popular trends right now are bridal suits and separated, slip gowns with cutouts, colorful hues and prints, high-low hemlines, ruffles and ballet inspired details, halter and square necklines, puffed sleeves, corset bodices, vintage vibes and boho flair. Additionally, Ms. Pahoresky sells formal wear for events such as homecoming and prom, evening gowns, dress for moms and children and a selection of accessories. Previously Adorned and Adorned Events also offers planning and décor services for weddings and other parties such as showers and family reunions. About 15 years ago, Ms. Pahoresky added Adorned Events to her business model after noticing a demand for event planning. “We do the set, the breakdown, the day-of coordination and we handle all the décor rentals. It’s a lot of different things under one umbrella,” Ms. Pahoresky said. I’ve always had a love for dresses and everything about weddings and event planning,” Ms. Pahoresky said. “Thirty years and three boutiques later,

I couldn’t be happier.”
